This week, Rob Thomas’ Kickstarter project to fund the Veronica Mars Movie has all of us marshmallows channeling our favorite petite film noir gumshoe. I searched the web, with Mac-like intensity, for signs of our moll with moxie and found these posts that get Tracey’s Seal of Approval:
The Veronica Mars Movie Project by Rob Thomas: She better end up with Logan, that’s all I’m saying.
A Pony! The Veronica Mars Kickstarter: Emmie does all the background work for people who may be new to the Veronica Mars experience.
What the Veronica Mars Kickstarter Means for Firefly: Because as soon as this was successful for Rob Thomas, you KNOW they were knocking on Joss’ door. And if you were knocking on his door, mind sharing his address?
Speak up, be heard. Which post did you like best?

I don’t know if I should thank you, Tracey, or curse you for sharing this. I had stayed safely outside the orbit of Mars but now, I feel the gravitational pull and it’s crazy. I’ve got it on my list to watch the series so that when the movie comes out, I’ll be ready. Loved your post on Emmie Mears’ blog. Just dumped a load of gasoline on the flame with that one. Thanks again, Tracey!
That’s easy, Denise! Thank me. You will not regret starting the journey, I promise.
I was really excited about the VM Kickstarter success, not just because it means a VM movie, but because of what it could mean for the future of entertainment. Newer or less conservative (for want of a better term) companies like Netflix and Amazon are thinking outside the box, with Netflix producing fresh content and Amazon producing pilots and letting us decide what works before moving forward. But it’s really exciting to see a big, slow-moving, mired-in-the-way-they’ve-always-done-things studio willing to try something new.
Hey Natalie, I couldn’t agree more.
