How could I not support a friend? Especially a friend who shares a great drink. This is MIMOSAS at Midnight. What kind of host would I be if I didn’t offer a great cocktail or four?
As for the porn rant, yes it was long. But I thought she made a good point about how everyone and their mom thinking they can write erotic romance and why that’s not true.
Lesson learned today: People like their cocktails plentiful and their blog posts brief! LOL

This generation thinks their life should be shared with the world; there is no privacy!
As for erotic romance, I’ve been burned by that genre more than any other when it comes to trying new authors. A good erotic sex scene needs more than certain words and I’m not sure all authors who write it know it.

Thank you so much for featuring me and the Illya Kuryakin today! I wish there was some way to put your seal on my bottle of cake vodka. It’s all I can do to resist the temptation to make myself a nice cold Illya Kuryakin right now, but if I finish my homework, maybe I can take one to bed.

I tried hard to read the erotic romance rant. I really did. You know I come from The Land of the $10 Word and the $1000 Sentence (don’t go to law school!), but struggling for comprehension is not something I do recreationally anymore. The best I could figure, the author has written off the entire genre because she’s picked up a couple of bad apples. Isn’t it just easier to figure out what a bad apple feels like in your hand before biting into it? I mean, if I swore off entire genres after a couple of bad experiences, I’d have very few options left, and that scares me a little.

I confess, however, that I may not be fully grasping the substance of the rant. I began skimming about a third of the way down.

Hi Tracey! I’ll have to give highest honors to our good friend, Alexa Day. One because I, too, crushed on Illya Kuryakin and Two I applaud anyone who can help me find new ways to enjoy vodka. Not that I’m a lush (far from it), but one does become weary of the old standards. The Porn rant was highly entertaining and has to get my vote for #2, however I, like Tameri, was also reduced to skimming. It’s a LONG rant. Therefor the blabbering Blackberry must fall to third.

I don’t think I want my phone telling ANYONE what I’m doing! Why would they add that feature? What on earth were they thinking? I tried to read the entire erotic romance post, but my fogginess is in full swing today, so I had to skim parts, but I agree that it’s an interesting topic. I know my erotic romance reading has dropped way off. I think I just got burned out on the smut. Hopefully that will swing back around soon.
