Some women love shoes.
Some women love clothes.
For me, it’s purses.
I love purses. It’s an obsession. And it cyclical. I have purses for every season. Three months is the right amount of time. I start getting itchy and I know it time to go into the closet and see which purse strikes my fancy. If I can’t find one on my shelf, I hit the store shelf. You know the worst place to live near when you have a love jones for purses.
An outlet mall.
Been checking out a couple of new purses. What do you think? Which one do you like best?
On an unrelated note, I got tagged!
The awesome Emma Burcart tagged me for the Lucky 7 Meme. After you finish reading my blog, and leaving a comment, head on over and check out her website, www.emmaburcart.com. It’s cool looking and way professional. [Channeling my inner Cher Horowitz]
Now, back to the Lucky 7. Here’s how it works:
- I open my current WIP (Work In Progress)
- Go to page 77
- Go to line 7
- Copy down the next 7 lines/sentences and post them as they are written
- Tag 7 new authors.
I put the parameters into Scooter Computer and this is what it spit out:
“This is not what I planned for you. He is not who I would have picked for you.”
“Why not? He’s smart, he’s successful, and he’s driven. What is it he lacks?”
“He’s not one of us.”
Marcus stiffened. He’d worked hard to make his mark on the world, and with that one sentence, he was once again a thirteen year old boy, trying to stand up for his mother, only to be dismissed for not having the right pedigree.
And now for the Lucky 7 who get to go next:
Tag! You’re it!
What new item are you jonesin’ for? And no answers like, “I am not bound by personal possessions, yada, yada, yada.” Embrace your inner shopper!
