Tracey’s Seal of Approval: Suck it, Jane Eyre!

This week’s listing of blog posts that gets Tracey’s Seal of Approval:

Jane Eyre Round-Up: The BBC adaptation with Timothy Dalton is my favorite. But I’m more of a Jane Austen girl than a Bronte girl.

Self-publishing star faces backlash for misogynist rant: Is his response in writing this and putting it online  as inappropriate as the woman’s actions? Must we put EVERYTHING we experience online? How does that story (the author’s original post) serve the readers? What do we learn?

Silence Breeds Silence: Why Speaking Out Makes Change: I love Emmie’s posts; always thought-provoking and brave.

Which post spoke to you? Why?

Tracey’s Seal of Approval: All Twilight, All the Time…

In honor of the release of Breaking Dawn Part 2 on DVD this week (my reserved copy is on it’s way!!!) I present this week’s listing of blog posts, all about Twilight, that gets Tracey’s Seal of Approval:

Breaking Dawn, Part 2, Yep I Saw It: Edward is not a creepy stalker! People, do you remember the love you had when you were a teenager? How you spent hours on the phone talking to him/her? If you had superpowers, you don’t think you would have used them to be with the one you loved/crushed all the time? Let’s give him a break.

Part 2 Has #8 opening: You can add my $15 to that box office. With my three other “dates” to see the movie, I’ll contribute another $45. Yup, they couldn’t do it without me. :-)

Immortal Monday, Twilight Saga’s Breaking Dawn Part 2: A good recap/introduction to the major groups in the Twilight universe.

I love reading good blogs. I love Twilight even more. Did you go see the movie? If so, what did you think?   If not, what are you waiting for? ;-)

Tracey’s Seal of Approval: Women Edition

This week’s listing of blog posts that gets Tracey’s Seal of Approval:

Where Are All the Strong Female Superheroes?: Mentioned in a blog by Emmie Mears.  You’d think writing the Wonder Woman movie was akin to the Bible, Part II. Geez.

Finally, a pen for Women : This is not a blog post, but it’s still hella funny. Check out the comments. Thanks to my friend, Amy Spinnager, for bringing this to my attention.

Immortal Monday-Ode to Pam De Beaufort & True Blood: I’m not exactly feeling Pam & Tara, but it has made Tara waaaay more interesting.  My favorite Pam quote? #1

Tracey’s Seal of Approval: Legitimate? Rape & Mispeak

This week’s listing of blog posts that gets Tracey’s Seal of Approval:

There’s only one. Please read this blog post. All the way to the end. Even if it makes you uncomfortable. You won’t be by the end.

Tracey’s Seal of Approval: Spike, Slugs & Passing Notes

This week’s listing of blog posts that gets Tracey’s Seal of Approval:

Top Ten Quotes From the Lips of Spike: I can definitely spend five or so minutes thinking about Spike’s lips. *sigh* My favorite is #8.

Slug Line Experiences/ Epic Stank: I don’t know if other places have this, but traffic around D.C./NoVa/MD is the worst during rush hour. Sometimes, commuters will pick up extra people called “slugs” so they can use the HOV lanes along I-95 and avoid heavy traffic and delays.

The Sensual Art of Passing a Note: Will you read this blog post? Yes? No? Maybe? And, because I was always a writer at heart, Comments? :-)

Tracey’s Seal of Approval: Facebook Faux-pas, X-Men & 80s Nostalgia

This week’s listing of blog posts that gets Tracey’s Seal of Approval:

20 Things Your Most Annoying Friends Do on Facebook: A friend sent this to me… Was she trying to tell me something?

5 X-Men It Would Really Suck to Be: First, welcome back to TSOA, Emmie! :-)   Second, the mutants she picked may have issues with their powers, but they’re still super attractive. What about the Morlocks? (Don’t know who the Morlock’s are? For shame! And you call yourselves fans!)

Games of Today and Yesterday: Reading this post brought on such a strong hit of 80s nostalgia that I wanted to put on my skinny acid-wash jeans, slouchy neon-pink socks to match my IZOD polo and my Sebagos. Who’s with me?

I love reading good blogs. What blogs are you reading?
